Parahypopta caestrum is a species of moth that belongs to the Cossidae family. Its distribution includes the Iberian Peninsula, France, Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the Balkan Peninsula, Jordan, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, south-western Russia, and Kazakhstan. This moth has a wingspan ranging from 28 to 40 mm. Adult individuals have been recorded in flight during the months of June and July. The larvae of this species feed on Asparagus officinalis, Asparagus maritime, Asparagus tenuifolis, Asparagus albus, Asparagus acutifolis, and Celtis australis.
