About Paonias astylus Drury, 1773

Paonias astylus has a wingspan measuring 55–65 mm. In Florida, there are two generations of adults per year, and they are on wing from March to June, and then again in September. In the northern part of the species' range, there is only one generation, with adults on wing in July. This species is distributed across eastern North America, ranging from Maine in the north south to Florida, and west to Missouri and Mississippi.
