About Pandanus cookii Martelli

Pandanus cookii, commonly called Cook's pandan, Cook's screwpine, or just screwpine, is a tree species in the family Pandanaceae. It is endemic to coastal and sub-coastal regions of tropical Queensland, Australia. This tree grows to approximately 10 meters (33 feet) tall, with an open growth habit. It produces long narrow leaves that can reach up to 180 cm long and 8 cm wide (70.9 by 3.1 inches), and prop roots that grow up to around 30 cm (12 inches) in length.
