Palthis asopialis, commonly known as the faint-spotted palthis moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. This species was first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1854. It is native to North America, where its range extends from Florida northward to Ontario and westward to Texas. The wingspan of adult faint-spotted palthis moths measures between 19 and 23 millimeters. The adult moths fly between January and October, with the flight period varying based on the species' location. In the northeastern part of its range, the species has at least two generations per year. In the southern parts of its range, it produces more generations annually. Documented food plants for this species include Bidens species, along with the leaves of beans, corn, and oak.
