About Pagurus granosimanus (Stimpson, 1859)
Pagurus granosimanus is a medium-sized hermit crab. It can be distinguished by the raised blue dots covering its granular chelipeds and walking legs — this feature gives the species its common name. As is typical for many hermit crabs, its right chela is usually larger and more robust than its left. Adult individuals most commonly have an olive green overall coloration, and their unbanded antennae are orange.
