About Pachydactylus weberi Roux, 1907

Pachydactylus weberi is small for its genus, with a flattened, slender body. Adults of this species reach a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 3.5 to 4.5 cm (1.4 to 1.8 inches), and the maximum recorded snout-to-vent length is 5 cm (2.0 inches). This species occurs in Namibia and South Africa. Its preferred natural habitats are desert and shrubland, found at altitudes ranging from sea level up to 1,500 m (4,900 ft). Pachydactylus weberi is oviparous. Adult females lay a clutch of two hard-shelled eggs, and each egg measures an average of 9.5 mm by 6.5 mm (0.37 in by 0.26 in).
