About Pachydactylus vansoni Fitzsimons, 1933
Pachydactylus vansoni, commonly called Van Son's gecko or Van Son's thick-toed gecko, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Gekkonidae. This species is endemic to Southern Africa. Its known distribution covers Lesotho, Mozambique, South Africa, Eswatini, and Zimbabwe, with an estimated total geographic range larger than 100,000 square kilometers (38,610 square miles). Its preferred natural habitats are grassland and savanna, found at altitudes ranging from sea level up to 2,300 meters (7,500 feet). Pachydactylus vansoni reproduces by being oviparous.
