About Pachydactylus kladaroderma Branch, Bauer & Good, 1996
Pachydactylus kladaroderma can be distinguished from other species in the genus Pachydactylus by several key traits. It has only 3 to 6 granules bordering its mentals, a slit-shaped ear opening, and a 79% rate of the superlabial extending into the nostrils. It has 5 to 13 infralabials adjacent to the mental, and has an overall dull brown coloration. This species is known exclusively from South Africa, where it occurs in the Cape Fold Mountains surrounding the Little Karoo, and on the southern escarpment.
