Oxalis truncatula, commonly known as the hairyback sorrel, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the Oxalidaceae family. It is native to the southwestern Cape Provinces of South Africa. This species is a tuberous geophyte. It is most often found growing in hard, rocky soils, and grows only infrequently on mountain slopes.
