This is a description of Oxalis latifolia Kunth, a perennial herb. It grows from a network of small bulbs and spreads through stolons, and it has no aboveground stem. Its leaves grow on long petioles starting at ground level; each leaf consists of three broad heart-shaped leaflets that are roughly 4.5 centimeters wide. The inflorescence is a cluster holding several flowers. Every individual flower has five pink petals, though some varieties of this species produce white flowers instead.
