Oxalis illinoensis, commonly known as the Illinois woodsorrel, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the woodsorrel family, Oxalidaceae. This species is endemic to the United States, occurring in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The full range boundaries of Oxalis illinoensis remain unclear, because it strongly resembles Oxalis grandis, and the two species have often been confused with one another. Oxalis illinoensis is a perennial plant that bears yellow flowers with red-lined centers. Its primary natural habitat consists of calcareous forests and bluffs.
