About Oxalis frutescens L.

Oxalis frutescens, commonly known as shrubby woodsorrel, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Oxalidaceae. Its native range extends across New Mexico, Texas, Mexico, Central America, the southernmost Caribbean islands, and tropical South America, reaching as far south as northern Argentina. This plant is a perennial subshrub that grows to 35 cm (14 in) in height, and it is most commonly found growing in sandy soils within grasslands, pastures, roadsides, and open oak woodlands.
