Redspot cardinalfish, scientifically known as Ostorhinchus parvulus (Smith & Radcliffe, 1912), have semi-transparent bodies with a large pink spot on their caudal fin. This species reaches a maximum total length of 4.0 centimeters, which is 1.6 inches. Redspot cardinalfish live in groups around rocky reefs exposed to consistent currents, and can be found at depths up to 12 meters, or 39 feet. This fish is a mouthbreeding species, and individuals form distinct spawning pairs when reproducing.
