About Osteocephalus verruciger (Werner, 1901)
Osteocephalus verruciger, commonly known as the Ecuador slender-legged tree frog, is a species of frog in the family Hylidae. This species is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forests. Adult males of this species measure 44.3 to 53.9 millimeters in snout-vent length, while adult females measure 45.5 to 70.0 millimeters. Males have olive-colored dorsal skin, and females have dark brown dorsal skin. The groin and upper front legs are dark brown. The feet are colored dark red-brown. The throat is cream-colored, and the belly is red-bronze with dark brown markings.
