The rufous-tailed tailorbird, with the scientific name Orthotomus sericeus, is a species of bird. It was formerly classified as part of the "Old World warbler" grouping, and is now placed in the family Cisticolidae. This species can be found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and subtropical or tropical mangrove forest.
