About Orthetrum serapia Watson, 1984
Orthetrum serapia (Watson, 1984) is a medium-sized dragonfly with a wingspan ranging from 60 to 85 millimeters. Its wings are clear, with the only exception being a small dark spot at the base of the hindwing. The thorax ranges in color from greenish to greyish yellow and has black markings. The abdomen is black, and it has pale yellow or pale green markings. This species looks very similar to Orthetrum sabina, and the two can be confused with each other in areas where their ranges overlap in north-eastern Australia.
