Oreta loochooana is a moth species belonging to the family Drepanidae. It was first formally described by Charles Swinhoe in 1902, and its full accepted scientific name is Oreta loochooana Swinhoe, 1902. This moth species is distributed across Japan, Korea, mainland China, Taiwan, and the Russian Far East. Adults have a wingspan that measures between 30 and 37 millimeters. The caterpillar larvae of this species feed on the leaves of two plant taxa: Viburnum odoratissimum, and Viburnum luzonicus var. formosanum. When larvae reach the pupal life stage, pupation occurs directly on the surface of host plant leaves.
