About Omorgus suberosus (Fabricius, 1775)

Omorgus suberosus (Fabricius, 1775) reaches a body length of 11–14 millimetres, equal to 0.43–0.55 inches. Its dorsal surface is convex, very rough, colored pale brown, and marked with ridges and tubercles. The pronotum of this species bears long, fine setae. These beetles are carrion feeders, and they overwinter in the adult life stage. This species is distributed in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, the region ranging from the southern United States to South America, and Australia, where it occurs in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia.
