Omophlus lepturoides (Fabricius, 1787) has a body length that ranges from 11 to 16 millimetres (0.43 to 0.63 inches). Its head and pronotum are black and quite hairy. The elytra are reddish-brown, and its legs are black. This species occurs in Europe, including Austria, Germany, Italy, and Poland. It can also be found in Southeast Asia, and in Russia spanning from Ukraine to the Caucasus. These beetles live in warm, sunny areas.
