Oloptum miliaceum (L.) Röser & Hamasha is a grass species with the common name smilograss. It is native to Eurasia, and now occurs as an introduced species and casual weed of disturbed areas in many other regions worldwide. It is a clumping perennial grass that produces sturdy, erect stems that can grow up to 1.5 meters tall. Its inflorescence is a panicle made up of several whorls of branches; these branches divide into secondary branches that hold clusters of spikelets.
