About Oenospila flavifusata (Walker, 1861)

Oenospila flavifusata (Walker, 1861) is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae. Its range extends from the Oriental tropics to Sundaland. This moth is generally green in color. The costa is whitish, and its dentate fasciae are dark. The caterpillar of this species is yellowish, with a slender, double red line running along its dorsal side, and it has a bifid head. Pupation takes place inside a cocoon constructed between two leaves that are spun together. Recorded host plants for the species include Anacardium, Barringtonia, Memecylon, Eugenia, Syzygium, Nephelium, and Chrysophyllum; caterpillars of this species have recently also been found feeding on Garcinia xanthochymus. One subspecies is currently recognized: Oenospila flavifusata moniliata Warren, 1912.
