Oedura castelnaui, commonly known as the northern velvet gecko, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Diplodactylidae. This species is endemic to Queensland, Australia, and specifically occurs on Cape York Peninsula. Its preferred natural habitats are forest and savanna. Oedura castelnaui reproduces through oviparity. Females produce clutches of two eggs with a parchment-like shell, and these eggs hatch after 60 days of incubation.
