About Oedera squarrosa (L.) Anderb. & K.Bremer

Oedera squarrosa (L.) Anderb. & K.Bremer is a small, erect shrublet that grows up to 60cm in height. Its leaves are small, measuring up to 15mm by 7mm, and have an ovate shape. They are glandular, down-curved, and have thickened margins, growing densely packed along the plant’s stems. On younger stems, leaves are typically arranged in four ranks, while older stems usually have a more imbricate leaf arrangement. Tufts of around two yellow flowerheads grow at branch tips during spring and summer. These flowerheads are 10mm wide and grow on relatively short stalks that range from 2 to 10mm in length.
