Oedemera atrata is a species of beetle that is classified in the subfamily Oedemerinae, family Oedemeridae. This species of beetle can be found in Albania, Croatia, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, and the Near East. Adult Oedemera atrata display body colors that are entirely black, very dark green, or dark purple. Adult individuals of this species reach a length of 6 to 9 millimetres (0.24 to 0.35 inches). Adults are most commonly found from May through July, and they feed on pollen and nectar.
