About Odontosoria biflora (Kaulf.) C.Chr.
Odontosoria biflora (Kaulf.) C.Chr. is a species of fern that belongs to the family Lindsaeaceae. Like other species in this family, it has previously been placed in different genera, so it has accepted synonyms: Sphenomeris biflora and Sphenomeris chinensis ssp. biflora. This fern is native to Southeast China, Korea, Japan (including its offshore islands), Taiwan, and the Philippines. Its fronds have a leathery texture, and the ultimate segments of the fronds are wedge-shaped. In the northern Philippines, this species is described as common, growing on ridges and rocks at elevations up to around 150 meters. In parts of the Philippines, it is known by the Ivatan name tubho, and its sun-dried leaves are used to make tubho tea.
