About Odontoptera carrenoi Signoret, 1849
Identification: Like other species in the genus Odontoptera, Odontoptera carrenoi has a green body, an elongated cephalic process, and wings that are apically oblique. This species can be distinguished from Odontoptera spectabilis by several features: its cephalic process is lifted at the apex, the eyespot on the tegmen is distinct, the anal angle is not falcate, and brown coloring on the tegmen is restricted to the margins. The last of these features also distinguishes Odontoptera carrenoi from Odontoptera toulgoeti.
