Ocyptamus fuscipennis (Say, 1823) is a species of syrphid fly that belongs to the family Syrphidae. This fly species is distributed across the whole of North America, and can also be found in Cuba. In Puerto Rico, larval stage Ocyptamus fuscipennis act as predators of autumn populations of Toxoptera citricida. Adult Ocyptamus fuscipennis flies have been recorded visiting flowers of Xyris tennesseensis.
