Obovaria subrotunda, commonly known as the round hickorynut, is a species of freshwater mussel. It is classified as an aquatic bivalve mollusk that belongs to Unionidae, the family of river mussels. This species is native to eastern North America. Under Canada's Species at Risk Act, it is listed as endangered in Canada on the List of Wildlife Species at Risk. In 2023, it was added as a federally listed threatened species in the United States under the country's Endangered Species Act.
