About Nyssus coloripes Walckenaer, 1805

This species, commonly called the orange-legged swift spider, has a mostly black body, white spots along most of its body, and distinctive orange front legs. Adults typically measure between 6 and 7 mm in length. The orange-legged swift spider is native to Australia. It was introduced to New Zealand around 1943, where it has become fully naturalised. In New Zealand, it is commonly found inside human homes and in short grassland habitats.
