Nyholmiella obtusifolia (Brid.) Holmen & E.Warncke, with the basionym Orthotrichum obtusifolium, is a species of moss belonging to the family Orthotrichaceae. It is an epiphytic species that most commonly grows on bark, and sometimes grows on stone instead. This moss has a widespread northern distribution, and is confirmed to occur in both Eurasia and North America. It can be differentiated from other members of its family by its non-revolute leaf margins, where each cell contains 1 to 2 papillae.
