The black-bellied starling, with the accepted scientific name Notopholia corrusca, is a starling species belonging to the family Sturnidae. This species was originally described by zoologist Alexander von Nordmann in 1835. It occurs naturally in Eswatini, Kenya, Mozambique, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Changes in blood flow cause the iris color of this bird to shift based on its mood or behavior.
