About Notolabrus celidotus (Bloch & Schneider, 1801)
Notolabrus celidotus, commonly known as spotty or paketi, is a species of wrasse that is endemic to waters surrounding New Zealand, including Stewart Island and its adjacent areas. This fish occurs on reefs at depths ranging from 22 meters (72 feet) to 145 meters (476 feet), and it is most abundant in the shallower portions of this depth range. The maximum recorded standard length for this species is 23.9 centimeters (9.4 inches).
