About Notodoris serenae Gosliner & Behrens, 1997

Notodoris serenae can grow to over 10 centimeters in length. Its body is predominantly grey, with scattered raised black tubercles across the entire body. Raised black ridges are present on its head and on the processes located in front of its gills. It has large extra-brachial appendages that shelter its gills, which are green and sometimes edged with yellow. Its rhinophores, the underside of its body, and the edge of its foot are all yellow. This species was first described from specimens collected in Papua New Guinea. It occurs across the Indo-west Pacific region, where it has been recorded in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Palau, Pohnpei, the Solomon Islands, and Okinawa.
