Notoaeschna sagittata (Martin, 1901) is a species of dragonfly in the family Aeshnidae, commonly known as the southern riffle darner. This species is endemic to eastern Australia, and is found only in areas south of the Hunter River in New South Wales, where it lives in rapid streams. Notoaeschna sagittata is a large dragonfly, with a body that is dark brown to black marked with yellow patterns. It closely resembles Notoaeschna geminata, the northern riffle darner, which occurs in regions north of the Hunter River.
