About Nothoalsomitra suberosa (F.M.Bailey) I.Telford

Nothoalsomitra suberosa is a subtropical vine species in the Cucurbitaceae family, and it is the only member of the monotypic genus Nothoalsomitra. It is native to Queensland, Australia. This vigorous climbing vine has pale corky bark and leaves split into three triangular leaflets. Its flowers have a yellow corolla made of five petals. The fruits of this species are green, ovoid, and contain numerous seeds. N. suberosa is classified as rare, and its range is restricted to wet sclerophyll forest and subtropical rainforest in the D'Aguilar Range, Blackall Range, and Conondale ranges north of Brisbane. This plant was previously classified within the related genus Neoalsomitra. It was first formally described and published in Flora Australia Volume 8 on page 388 in 1982.
