This species has been recorded in Australia, Korea, Japan (specifically Kyushu), China, Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, and Vietnam. It has a wingspan of 8 to 9 millimetres, which equals 0.31 to 0.35 inches, while its forewings measure 5 to 6 millimetres, or 0.20 to 0.24 inches, in length. In Japan, adult individuals of this species emerge during September and October.
