About Nicator chloris (Valenciennes, 1826)
This species, Nicator chloris, is very similar to the eastern nicator. It can be distinguished by its olive green face sides and crown, and is most reliably identified by its geographic range and certain vocalizations. It is mainly native to the African tropical rainforest. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, as well as subtropical or tropical swamps. It prefers well-established secondary growth forest located between 700 and 1,850 metres (2,300 to 6,070 ft) in elevation.
