This is a description of the marine species Nerita undata Linnaeus, 1758. Its recorded habitats are rocky cliffs and littoral fringe rocks. Individuals can reach up to 4 cm in size. The surface of its shell has radial ridges, and its columella bears three teeth. Its body is generally pale in color, with variable darker markings; it may sometimes be uniformly bluish-black, and it has a pale interior. This marine species is distributed across the Indo-Pacific, and is also found off the coast of Papua New Guinea.
