The filmy dome spider, with the scientific name Neriene radiata, is a sheet-weaving spider that belongs to the family Linyphiidae and has a holarctic distribution. These spiders build a dome-shaped structure out of fine spider silk. They hang upside-down underneath this silk dome while they wait for prey to approach. This species is a preferential host for the kleptoparasitic spider Argyrodes trigonum.
