Neriene peltata (Wider, 1834) is a species of spider in the Linyphiidae family that has a Holarctic distribution. Like other species in this family, Neriene peltata is a small spider. Its body length, when legs are not counted, is approximately 5 millimeters. This spider has a brown carapace marked with a black central stripe, and an abdomen with alternating brown and white stripes. It constructs a hammock-shaped web among bushes, and rests underneath this web.
