Nepheronia argia, commonly known as the large vagrant, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Pieridae. This species is found across all of Africa. Males of Nepheronia argia have a wingspan ranging from 50 to 65 millimeters, while females have a wingspan ranging from 48 to 70 millimeters. In warmer regions where the species lives, adult large vagrants are active throughout the year, with population peaks occurring in late summer and autumn. The larvae of this butterfly feed on Hippocratea longipetolata, Cassipurea ruwenzorensis, and species from the genus Ritchiea.
