About Neoscona adianta (Walckenaer, 1802)

Neoscona adianta is a spider species that is part of the Araneidae family. Its distribution ranges from North Africa and Europe through to Central Asia. The abdomen of this spider is brown to red, and is patterned with a series of white or cream triangles that are bordered in black. Excluding legs, the female has a body length of roughly 9 millimetres (0.35 in), and males are noticeably smaller than females. This spider typically builds its web between flower heads, and sits out in the open next to the web on a silk pad.
