Neopyrochroa flabellata (Fabricius, 1787) is a species of fire-coloured beetle that belongs to the genus Neopyrochroa. This species is distributed across the eastern United States. The larvae of Neopyrochroa flabellata inhabit dead wood. Instead of preying on other organisms or consuming the dead wood they live in, the larvae feed on fungus. Adults of this species feed rarely, but it is known that they are attracted to cantharidin.
