About Neophasia terlooii Behr, 1869

Neophasia terlooii, commonly known as the Chiricahua white, Chiricahua pine white, or Mexican pine white, is a butterfly species belonging to the Pieridae family. This species is distributed in New Mexico, the high mountain regions of Arizona, and extends southward into Mexico. Its native habitat consists of needle-bearing conifer forests belonging to the Pinaceae family. The wingspan of Neophasia terlooii ranges from 45–58 mm (1.8–2.3 inches). Male individuals of this species are white in color and bear a strong resemblance to Neophasia menapia.
