About Neochera dominia (Cramer)

Neochera dominia (Cramer) is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. It occurs in the Indo-Australian tropics, ranging from India to Queensland and the Solomon Islands. The wingspan of adult Neochera dominia measures between 68 and 72 mm. Its forewings have a characteristic bluish gray base color, with prominent white streaks along the veins. Its hindwings have a pure white base color, with bluish black spots located in the terminal area, which can be seen in the example infobox image. In the male reproductive organ, the saccus is rectangular, slightly narrower toward the top, and has a nearby sclerotized semi-circular spur. The larvae of this species feed on plants of the Marsdenia genus. As of 2016, the only collected sample of this species was gathered in Bokor, Cambodia in 2013.
