About Nemesia floribunda Lehm.
Nemesia floribunda Lehm. grows to a height between 30.48 centimetres (12 inches) and 60 centimetres (24 inches). Its flowers measure 10–15 mm (0.4–0.6 in) in diameter, are white, and have a pale yellow throat. Its leaves are 3–12 cm (1.2–4.7 in) long, shortened and rounded, with a wavy blade and a narrow tip. Its seeds are 1 millimetre across with large wings, and this species flowers between February and September. Nemesia floribunda is most often found in subtropical environments, specifically near dunes that host lupin and elder shrubs. It is sometimes found growing on roadsides and in open forest, and it is frequently visited by bees. It prefers consistently moist soil that is not waterlogged, and it has some degree of drought resistance. It grows best in temperatures between 20–35 °C (68.0–95.0 °F) and does well in consistent full sunlight. Nemesia floribunda is native to South Africa, and has become naturalized in New Zealand. There has been at least one confirmed wild sighting of the plant in the United Kingdom, located just outside the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. It is also commonly cultivated in home and botanical gardens across the United States.
