Nardoa galatheae, commonly known as the brown mesh sea star, is a sea star species belonging to the family Ophidiasteridae. It was first formally described by Christian Frederik Lütken in 1865 under the original name Scytaster galatheae. This species feeds primarily on detritus and small invertebrates. It occurs in the Indo-Pacific region, where it inhabits coral reefs and rocky substrates at depths less than 30 meters below the ocean surface. On average, Nardoa galatheae reaches a maximum size of 25 centimeters across.
