Mythimna prominens is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. It was first described by Francis Walker in 1856. Within Europe, this species can be found on Malta, and in Greece, France, the Iberian Peninsula, and Italy. Outside of Europe, it occurs in Morocco, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Réunion, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. The wingspan of Mythimna prominens measures 28–36 mm, and the larvae of this species feed on plants from the Lilium genus, including Lilium multiflorum.
