This species can be found across nearly all regions of tropical and subtropical Africa, Asia, and the Mediterranean basin. Adult Mythimna languida moths are active throughout the entire year. The species produces multiple generations each year. Recorded food plants for this moth are Arundo phragmites in Italy, and Lavatera species in Egypt.
