Myrmecia desertorum is an Australian species of ant in the genus Myrmecia. It was first formally described by Wheeler in 1915. This ant is distributed across the entire country of Australia and is common throughout the nation. Adult Myrmecia desertorum typically measure between 18 and 26 millimetres in length. Most individuals are reddish yellow overall, with blackish brown heads and gasters, and yellow mandibles and clypeus.
